The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundations. Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions by Rotary members to the Foundations various programs. The recognition is named for Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary. Thanks to his extraordinary vision, to this day, Rotary members around the world are united in fostering friendship, goodwill, and international understanding.
